What the Al Khatim Desert Is Like

Most of our safaris run in the Al Khatim desert, on the road between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The dunes here are tall, soft and a deep orange-red colour, which makes for great photos at sunset. It is about 45 to 60 minutes from the city, so you spend more time on the sand and less time driving.
