On an evening safari, pickup is between 3 and 4 PM and dune bashing happens while there is still good daylight for photos, before the BBQ dinner and shows at camp. Drop-off back at your hotel is around 9 to 9:30 PM. Morning safaris run 4 to 5 hours total and finish before the midday heat, which can reach 45°C in summer.

After hotel pickup, your driver heads to a stretch of dunes near Al Khatim and lets the tyre pressure down slightly for better grip on sand. From there, expect a series of climbs, drops and sideways slides — it feels like a rollercoaster, but every driver on our team is trained and licensed specifically for desert safari driving.
